Posted on Apr 15, 2008

This is a one-day conference in Paris about how technology innovation happens within the “living labs” of cities such as … well, Paris and Helsinki.

The French tech innovation association Silicon Sentier, of which faberNovel is a member and faberNovel CEO Stéphane Distinguin is the president, is helping host the luminaries from the city of Helsinki. The event is also sponsored by French tech innovation organizations and projects Quartier Numerique (a tech-intensive and free wifi zone in Paris), technology industry cluster Cap Digital and next-generation Internet foundation Fing.

Parlez-vous Drupal? AF83 is hiring in San Francisco!

Posted on Apr 07, 2008

We are looking for a Drupal developer to join our AF83 web development team in San Francisco. AF83 is a French-American web development company that has offices in Paris and San Francisco; we are expanding our US-based operations, and have several Drupal projects developing in the music and lifestyle markets. Our SF office is located in a gorgeous SoMa loft (PariSoMa) and will anchor a new coworking community, as well as host tech (and wine) events.

You DO NOT need to speak French for this position – you DO need to speak Drupal.

You are:

  • Experienced with PHP and MySQL
  • Experienced with Drupal, including developing or customizing modules
  • Someone who can work well alone, but also with a team
  • Skilled in one or more of these areas:
    • Implementation of page mock-ups in standards-compliant CSS/ xHTML
    • Javascript / jQuery
    • Flash / Flex
    • Alternate CMS’ (Joomla, Typo3, etc)
    • Website development project management

Since we have a sizeable staff, your specific skill set can be matched up with others among the AF83 team. You would be working with a local and international team on several concurrent projects. You would be required to work at the PariSoMa office, and be part of the office / coworking environment. Whether you are a Drupal rockstar or Drupal-eager, we are more than willing to discuss what it would take to make this job attractive for the right candidate – this is a full-time, employee position.
To apply:

  • Email Greg (see contact page).
  • Please point us to 2-3 websites you have been instrumental in developing (and tell us what parts you were responsible for). We prefer a link to a personal website in place of a resumé – if you don’t have one, please do not send a resumé until we’ve talked.

You can read more about AF83 and our SF office – PariSoMa – in the links above.

Happy Birthday AF83!

Posted on Apr 03, 2008

af83 Wow, only 1 year old, and AF83 has already racked up an impressive list of projects.

Funny, even I didn’t know AF83 was that young.

Here’s a tip of the glass to the child prodigy (what’s wunderkind in French?)
