Pictures from Musi2k with Jeremy Regenbogen

Last week, Jeremy Regenbogen gave a fascinating talk about some of the exhibits he helped design for the recently opened Grammy Museum in LA. One exhibit in particular was a touch-sensitive table that gives facts about different genres and sub-genres of music. Check back for video to be uploaded soon!

Mayor Newsom Visits pariSoma (Sort of)

John and I were at pariSoma bright and early yesterday morning to speak with Mayor Gavin Newsom during his visit to La Cantine (our sister coworking space in Paris) via a new video conferencing system provided by Lifesize.  We answered his questions about what pariSoma is and told him that we very much appreciate his service in San Francisco. We’re currently working on having ourselves permanently linked to La Cantine via live feed, and Mayor Newsom’s appearance was a perfect way to show off our new system.

Pictured below is Mayor Newsom with faberNovel founder and CEO Stephane Distinguin.

SFDUG group Jan 12 2009

The first SFDUG meeting of 2009 was a great success!  We had over 35 people attend this month to see a Drupal Showcase Series presentations by Josh Koenig on the development of Moblin.org.  Josh is an engaging presenter and did a great job last night.   The Tech Series was kicked off this year by Jason from Magic Spark who did a presentation on the Zen theme and why it rocks.

Thank you to both our presenters last night it was really informative.

The next Drupal Users Group is February 9th stay tuned for more details.

He will be talking about the design process of the museum, plus demonstrating specific exhibits he helped create. He is Creative Director for the San Francisco office of Gallagher & Associates, a firm specializing in museum exhibition design. Jeremy has a background in interior, graphic and product design and strives to combine all elements of an environment to produce a unified, compelling solution. Prior to joining Gallagher & Associates, Jeremy has worked for Vanderbyl Design, SOM, the Burdick Group and had his own firm, Dual Office. His varied projects include exhibition design of the new Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, a retail store for Alcatraz Island, boat graphics and apparel design for an America’s Cup syndicate, and design of the Grammy Museum.
