Ariel has been an Internet entrepreneur and investor since 1994. He was the founder and CEO of IPRO, the first web analytics company. Ariel was founder and CEO of Topica, an early provider of email marketing & community solutions. He was board member of Kana Software, a pioneering provider of CRM solutions; Chairman of LinkExchange, one of the first online ad networks; Chairman of StumbleUpon, a leading content discovery service, and board member of Silicon Investor, a community of serious investors, and Odeo, one of the first podcasting sites. Ariel spends most of his time helping Internet start-ups. He currently serves on the board of directors of Freedom Financial, a provider of consumer financial services and leads; LOLapps, the largest social network applications developer, SpeedDate, an online dating service on social networks, and Strava, a virtual community where cyclist compete and share rides. He is the CEO of TextMarks, which is enabling the “long tail” of SMS publishing and communications. Ariel’s angel investments include RockYou, Flixster, AdMob, Causes, Slideshare, Kongregate, Blippy, Xobni, Brightroll, Outright, Mashery, Seesmic, Instructables and NexTag.
